Pine shelving was designed for Makula, SOK Group’s range of high-quality meals.
New Store Europe has created a new shelving concept for SOK Group, one of Finland’s biggest food retailers. The shelves display high-quality meals in supermarkets and convenience stores in the Helsinki area.

The challenge was to arrive at a concept which looked fresh and exciting, but which also integrated with the existing shelving system.
The solution is made out of pine wood, which behaves well at low temperatures. The shelves tilt and have rollers, which means as one item is taken from the shelf, another falls in its place.

Atte Vannasmaa, Makula Concept Manager at SOK Group, said: “The display solution created works because it is interesting for the customer, has increased revenue, gives us ideas for the next steps and is something new in the Finnish retail market.”
