Maximizing the customer experience
Retail Environment Development, or RED for short, is New Store Europe’s unique concept that focuses on maximizing the customer experience.
It is a structured, step-by-step process that can be used for any retail concept, from an airport store to a corner coffee house. There are five modules, which can be used in full or part.
In Finland, RED has been used for a project with Veikon Kone, a well-known home electrics chain with 19 stores.
New Store Europe has used some of the RED modules to deliver a pilot store in Vantaa, Finland with a new concept inside just three months.
RED is about using strategic thought to deliver new ideas, with the end result being more profitable store interiors. For the Veikon Kone project, New Store Europe explored with the customer six headings – emotional, communication, social, economic, functional and information.

From a 3D conceptual design a store layout was constructed and then implemented using tailored furniture and New Store Europe’s 25l32 solution for fixtures.
Veikon Kone managing director Markku Saranpää said: “Dealing with one company (New Store Europe) helped our people as they had the opportunity to concentrate on other important things during the process. Everything from concept design to complete shop delivery went smoothly even though the timescale was so short. The customers, staff and shareholders all like the end result and sales have improved.”
